However, it still has its six torpedo tubes, arranged in three double-mounts, making it a threat to any ship in close range. ![]() It lacks the number of guns of neither the Fletcher nor the Fubuki. Needless to say, however, there are other ships that are much better against aircraft, but the Minekaze's effectiveness as an escort has increased considerably.Īgainst other ships, it is grossly under-armed. Its primary armament has remained unchanged, but its cannons are now dual-purpose, to make it more effective against aircraft. The Minekaze, and its American counterpart, the Clemson, have both received some upgrades since Midway. In addition they also mount machine guns, depth charges, and torpedoes, meaning they can pose a threat to any target. The Japanese versions are not as fast or manoeuvrable as the Elco, but they do mount two 25mm guns that packs a punch against lightly armoured surface targets. Official Description: The Japanese have a variety of small coastal vessels that provide a similar role to the US Elco PT boat. Considering its low command point cost, several of these can be sent around the map to quickly claim bases. The Gyoraitei also has a reasonable capture rate, and is good for sailing around in Island Capture maps to quickly capture bases. Its other upgrade has been the addition of two torpedo tubes, bringing its effectiveness, again, closer to that of the Elco. Any competent pilot can handle a Gyoraitei easily. As a result its effectiveness against aircraft is somewhat limited. The accuracy of these weapons isn't the greatest, however, and is most prevalent when it comes to attacking aircraft. Replacing the forward machine gun and the big cannon with two triple machine guns, the Gyoraitei now has a bigger fighting chance against other Elcos. The Japanese have apparently decided raw power was still the way to go with the Gyoraitei, but that going with the cannon wasn't worth it. Vaexa ain’t doing so well so it might be possible I left more typos in here than usual, idk.The Gyoraitei (魚雷艇 Torpedo Boat) is the Japanese PT boat, and it has received a lot of love since Midway. Obviously, tier 1 and 10 and premium ships only have one hull.Īs always, if I forgot a ship, made a typo or formatting error or something seems off, give me a poke and I’ll fix it asap. Premium ships in bold, special ships in italics. In other words, keep in minds they’re just base values. It’s affected by armour, and I’m really not sure how it’s affected by it, so all these values are for a HE shell that fully penetrates. Keep in mind that this value is not fixed. What this means in summary is that a lower base modifier means a lower chance of getting lit up. For some information on the calculations here, I’ll refer you to this old thread. Mechanically, this modifier is applied before anything else. (Tier 8 top is supposed to be 0.6337 but I can’t fix it right now) For a (heavily) condensed version of all this data, look here. The reason I’m listing them per ship is to preemptively quell any rumours of ”ship x has a different base modifier”, and to make it easy to ctrl+f a ship’s name. These values require a little elaboration.
